MOhammed AL QURASHI

CHAIRMAN

An Experienced Businessman with a demonstrated history of working in both public and private sector organizations. His major strengths are in management, strategy and international business. He holds degrees in Business Administration, a BSC and MBA in International Business  all from American Universities. In a career spanning more than 25 years, he has held senior positions within several organizations handling the interests of the Dubai Government. Amongst other appointments, he is currently the General Manager for Government Affairs at Dubai Cable Company DUCAB.

Tapiwa is a prolific networker with a keen eye for opportunities and more over connecting people to make ideas happen. He is a serial entrepreneur who has been involved in businesses including transport, farming, auto sales, media and Interior Architecture in Zimbabwe, UK and The United Arab Emirates. He holds Bachelors Degree in Interior Architecture and a Masters Degree in Architecture from The University of Wales and Westminster University respectively. His passion for Africa and International Business inspired him to set up the consultancy and his key focus is establishing strategic partnerships and lead in engagements concerning Trade & Property Development.

SIMBA MAKAHAMADZE

HEAD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY SERVICES

Simba has over 10 years of Intellectual Property Management and strategy experience covering Southern Africa and the Middle East. He advises clients on all aspects of intellectual property protection and management including but not limited to trademark and patent filing strategies, trademark/brand selection, filing and prosecution and IP due diligence for transactional purposes. His experience covers large companies as well as start-ups assisting them to establish IP protection strategies at an earlier stage. Simba has also handled IP consulting projects in Dubai for private sector and semi-government institutions covering IP policy development and training as well as collaboration between industry and institutions of higher learning.

His key professional experience and past appointments include; IP Manager at Scanlen & Holderness Legal Practitioners, IP Consultant at Palladium Strategy & IP Consultants and IP Specialist at SMAS Intellectual Property (MENA) which has presence in fourteen Middle East countries and four in North Africa. Over the years, Simba has advised a clientele base covering Zimbabwe, Southern and Northern Africa and the Middle East.
